Vision

Our Vision

"Reaching up towards God"
There is an emphasis for our worship on Sunday morning to be God-centered. Scripture is read and/or recited. The songs we sing are centered on the greatness of our awesome God and Savior as opposed to being focused on ourselves and how we feel. The teaching is focused upon knowing God more than upon our felt needs.  And as a result, the Lord addresses our needs in relevant ways as we "seek Him first".

"Reaching around one another"
This is the second most important thing we do as a church body. Much emphasis is placed upon small groups (Men's Discipleship groups, In-Depth Bible Studies, Men's meetings, Women's meetings, Jr & Sr High Youth Groups). There's something here for everyone! These small groups are where we live out our Lord's command to love, pray for, care for, submit to, admonish, bear the burdens of, and encourage one another. Some of these things happen on a Sunday morning during ministry (individual or small group prayer, altar calls for needs, or spiritual gifts); however, primarily these are to happen in our small groups. Of course we are never to neglect our personal responsibility to make a meal, send a card, place a phone call and pray for a brother or sister in need.

"Reaching out to others"
Third in our priority is reaching out to others. After we have connected with God and been strengthened by His body, we are to export His love to the lost and needy of our world. We do this in numerous ways. The missions groups we support are an extension of our hands and hearts to the needs of our community, nation, and world. We have the opportunity for "hands-on" involvement through many of the things we do, from being part of a mission trip to Mexico, collecting diapers and baby items for a crisis pregnancy ministry to food drives to feed the hungry in our community. From time to time gospel tracts are placed on the back table after Sunday service to assist us in our personal evangelism efforts. As we march to the Lord's orders toward the future let us seek His direction so that we can both corporately and individually be an active part of every aspect of this vision He has commissioned Calvary Chapel Foothill Ranch to fulfill. We must endeavor to expand each focus into new and wonderful adventures as His Spirit  guides us!
